Commerce Ministry affirms stable tea and rice prices
The Tunisian Ministry of Commerce and Export Development confirmed that there has been no increase in the prices of tea and rice supplied by the Tunisian Office of Trade. They pointed out that prices have remained unchanged and that decisions regarding the prices of certain types of tea and rice are limited to products marketed by the private sector. They clarified that the adjustments in prices were aimed at better regulation, following an increase in requests submitted for price approval. The price of one kilogram of green tea has exceeded 16 dinars, red tea 20 dinars, Ceylon tea 28 dinars, parboiled rice 4,500 millimes, and Basmati rice 7,500 millimes.
