Maysam’s husband, whose wife was killed in Jbel Jelloud, was taken back to their home for a crime-scene reconstruction. There, a large knife stained with the victim’s blood was found hidden in the washing machine, along with a leather belt that her family said he used to beat her. After being told of his wife’s death at the Bouchoucha detention center, he seriously injured himself by putting his head through glass. He was taken to Charles Nicolle Hospital, where his condition was described as critical.
