Dortmund held to draw by Bremen
Borussia Dortmund drew 2-2 with Werder Bremen in the opening of the fifth stage of the German Bundesliga, preventing the team from achieving its fifth victory and temporarily leading the standings. Dortmund scored two goals before Bremen narrowed the gap in the final minutes to equalize. Dortmund could have shared the top spot with Bayern Munich if the latter had won against Augsburg. The two teams are now awaiting their eagerly anticipated match at the end of the month.
