Hamdan bin Mohammed commends Red Carpet Team on Dubai Acts Award
The "Red Carpet" project, operated by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, has won the "Dubai Actions" Award in the government projects category. It was recognized for successfully redesigning the travel procedures to allow travelers to cross the airport in less than five seconds without the need for documents or stops—using artificial intelligence and biometric recognition technologies. The system has contributed to increasing capacity tenfold, reducing waiting times, and achieving a passenger satisfaction rate exceeding 99%. This project is considered a future model for travel checkpoints and reflects Dubai’s philosophy of innovation and smart government, focusing on swift achievement and tangible results.
