Sharjah Heritage Educates Youth on Falconry in Al Dhaid
The Sharjah Heritage Institute in Al Dhaid organized a program titled "Falconry... The Heritage of Our Ancestors and the Skills of Future Generations," aimed at strengthening the connection of the younger generations with Emirati cultural heritage and introducing them to the sport of falconry and its significance in tradition. The program featured a live demonstration of a falcon at Al Dhaid Fort, where students learned about the status of falcons in Emirati heritage and engaged with the experience through photos and direct communication. This allowed them to gain firsthand knowledge of this authentic tradition and reinforce their national identity. The activity aims to raise children's awareness of the importance of preserving heritage and instill its value in the new generations to ensure the continuity of Emirati traditions.
