The Lebanese government has decided to cancel the official examinations for the General Secondary Certificate and Technical Baccalaureate for the years 2025-2026, due to the current circumstances and the difficult security situation in the country, especially in areas affected by the war. This decision was met with widespread celebrations among students, who had been calling for its abolition, despite the fact that the Minister of Education was previously opposed to this measure. Students will be assessed and awarded passing grades based on evaluation results with an average of no less than 9.5, and an exceptional session will be available for those who fail or students in urgent need of certificates.
