Ben Gvir ridicules home demolitions during haircut
Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir mocked the demolitions of Palestinian Bedouin homes in Israel, boasting about escalating the punishment. He circulated a video clip in which he talks about demolishing more than 5,700 homes over the past year. His statements and their content have sparked increased criticism on social media, with many considering them a disregard for Palestinian suffering and incitement to ethnic cleansing. Others view them as reflecting a hardline policy aimed at displacing Palestinians from their lands. These comments come amidst the Israeli government's ongoing policies of demolishing homes and seizing land in the Negev, with Ben-Gvir reaffirming the continuation of these operations.
