Hakimi reconsiders rape allegations trial
Moroccan national team star Ashraf Hakimi has filed an appeal with the French Court of Cassation to challenge the decision to refer him to trial on rape charges. This follows the appellate court's confirmation in June that he must appear before a criminal court. The public prosecutor had informed the police in February 2023 that Hakimi, 27 years old, was accused of raping a 24-year-old woman after meeting her through Instagram. Hakimi continues to defend himself amid developments in the case involving criminal allegations against him.
