The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that its territory was targeted by Iranian drones early Saturday, in a violation of its sovereignty and the security of its citizens. They described this as a serious escalation that disrupts regional and international efforts toward de-escalation. The ministry confirmed that ongoing Iranian attacks are the responsibility of Tehran and threaten regional peace, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities by implementing UN Security Council resolutions and holding Iran accountable. In response, Iran announced it had targeted American military sites in retaliation for previous attacks, while the U.S. military denied carrying out strikes on Iranian sites in response to the Hormuz Strait incident.
