Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz confirmed that the government is determined to keep the army within the safe zones in southern Lebanon, Syria, and the Gaza Strip, without specifying a withdrawal date. The goal is to enhance border security and protect towns from armed threats. He emphasized that Israel will not retreat from control over the areas it holds in southern Lebanon, despite international pressure, and that the military supports this approach from a security perspective. He also warned that any Iranian attack on Israel amidst the current developments would be met with a strong response.
