Mira Saddam Hussein Sparks Yemeni Tensions
Mrs. Mira's story in Yemen revolves around her accusation that the leadership of the Houthi (Ansar Allah) movement stole her house and plundered her belongings in Sana'a, which led to tribal mobilization and threats of full-scale military confrontation if her assets were not recovered. After tribal mediation failed, the group arrested the man who sought help, and Mira was detained for 50 days, amid escalating tensions and tribal protests, with widespread reaction on social media. The source clarifies that Mira is officially known as Soumya Al-Zubairi, and the case has ignited feelings of indignation and discussions about Yemeni tribal society.
