Egypt introduces Child Chip for child safety
The Egyptian government has launched the services "Atmown" and "Atmown on Others" for digital protection of children through mobile phones, with the aim of providing a safe online environment. This initiative seeks to strike a balance between enabling children to learn and develop skills and reducing their exposure to inappropriate content, while also raising awareness among families about safe technology use. The ministry is working on establishing a governance framework to protect children, along with promoting a culture of supervision and responsibility among parents and the community.
