During his visit to Lebanon, Syrian Foreign Minister Asad Shueibi sought to strengthen the relations between the two countries. He emphasized that there is no intention of any military intervention in Lebanon and called for activating economic cooperation and security coordination. This includes opening channels of dialogue with the Shiite community, achieving internal stability, and avoiding regional escalation. The meetings also involved signing an agreement to establish a joint committee, and discussions covered ways to enhance bilateral relations, energy, and security issues, all within a transitional phase aimed at building a relationship based on shared interests and respect for sovereignty.
