Houston Residents Seek World Cup Souvenirs
The FIFA World Cup tournament captured the attention of fans in Houston, with the tournament store experiencing a large influx of souvenir purchases, especially shirts related to the participating teams and famous clubs. Staff confirmed that sales of jerseys for some African teams, such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Morocco, were high, with strong demand for star players’ shirts, particularly Messi’s. Visitors' purchases varied between tickets and small souvenirs like keychains, as many were eager to buy memorabilia as a keepsake of an event that wouldn’t be repeated in their city.
