Fidan: Erdoğan and Putin regularly coordinate on regional issues
Sources have reported the existence of regular consultations between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, aimed at coordinating their positions in the region, particularly regarding the Black Sea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Middle East. Turkish Minister Hakan Fidan confirmed that these communications are intended to avoid escalating tensions and the costly consequences of misjudgment, as Turkey and Russia continue to align their regional and international policies. These statements come within the framework of Turkey's role as a regional mediator that promotes dialogue among international parties.
