Currency markets face tension amid dollar and yen decline
The dollar fell near its lowest level in two weeks as investors' expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike diminished, following a slowdown in U.S. job growth in June. At the same time, the yen continued trading close to its lowest point in 40 years amid rising concerns about Japan's potential market intervention. The dollar index remained at 100.9, while the euro was at $1.1435 and the British pound at $1.3351.
