Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a security meeting to discuss the procedures for withdrawing the Israeli army from southern Lebanon. Preparations are underway to implement a pilot project involving gradual withdrawals from two villages as an initial step. This comes in coordination with the United States and Lebanon to identify areas free of Hezbollah. Israel is awaiting approval from the Lebanese army and the United States for the phased withdrawal, which depends on the readiness of Lebanese forces and security guarantees. The two sides, with American support and mediation, continue to discuss field arrangements to ensure the withdrawal is carried out in an organized and safe manner.
