Yemeni women seek leadership roles

Yemeni women have raised their demands for broader representation in senior positions and decision-making roles. The government is moving towards strengthening women's presence in governmental and security institutions. Meanwhile, the Houthi group is imposing increasing restrictions on women's freedoms in the areas they control, including limitations on movement, work, and education. Reports highlight a clear disparity between government-controlled regions, which seek to empower women, and Houthi-controlled areas, where restrictions are placed on their mobility and participation in public life. The government emphasizes the importance of increasing women's representation in leadership roles and is working to integrate them into the government and security structures. In contrast, the Houthi group continues to restrict women's freedoms and enforce strict measures against them.
