Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, called for the abolition of the secret ballot system in FIFA elections, emphasizing that it causes a clear leadership crisis ahead of the upcoming elections. He noted that all other decisions, such as selecting the host country for the World Cup, are made transparently, except for presidential elections. He asserted that adopting a transparent and open voting process is the only way to hold national federation presidents accountable to fans and players. He also confirmed that this system would protect federations from pressures and behind-the-scenes influences, contributing to more effective participation in shaping the future of football.
