Iran has confirmed that it is preparing to face the worst possible scenarios amid escalating tensions with the United States. It pointed out that its defensive plans include using all available tools to counteract aggressions, including maritime blockades and U.S. military attacks on its citizens. The Iranian Foreign Ministry also accused the United States of seeking to undermine the nuclear agreements and justifying increased tensions by citing incidents involving ships, as part of Washington's efforts to destabilize regional security. Furthermore, Tehran emphasized that it does not hold animosity toward neighboring countries; however, it urges them not to allow their territory to be used for launching attacks against Iran. It reaffirmed its readiness to defend its sovereignty if any aggression occurs. Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stated that his country has developed plans to confront the worst-case scenarios over the next two years, with a focus on stabilizing markets and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.
