The efforts of the Lebanese Army have focused on restoring life to the town of Zourtel Western in southern Lebanon, where it operates to ensure security through widespread deployment within the town and at its entrances, near the area occupied by Israeli forces in Zourtel Eastern. The town has suffered significant destruction, preventing residents from returning fully; they visit during the day and leave at night due to security concerns. The residents hope for a return of stability and safety that will enable them to settle permanently. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun emphasized that the army is the sole guarantor of Lebanon's unity and sovereignty, and he underscored the importance of the legitimacy of firearms and the role of the national army in protecting the homeland.
