Settler's remark sparks anger over Jewish-Palestinian value
Israeli settler Yehuda Shimon's statement, in which he claimed that the life of one Jew is worth ten million Palestinians, sparked widespread outrage across social media platforms. He called for the killing of all residents of Palestinian villages in the West Bank in response to the killing of an Israeli. His remarks, which he justified by claiming they were of divine choice, reflect the escalation and racist incitement practiced by settlers, often under the protection of the Israeli army. Activists and analysts condemned these statements, considering them to exemplify a pervasive racist outlook that leads to increasing violence and attacks against Palestinians, amid international silence and frustration over the inability of international law to halt such assaults.
