Seweryn on Trump’s Iran stance
The article focuses on U.S. President Donald Trump's retreat from carrying out a military attack on Iran, based on requests from Tehran and regional countries. Sources reported that Trump decided to suspend the planned strike until a deal is reached to open the Strait of Hormuz and to end the nuclear threat, after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia conveyed his concerns to Trump about launching broad strikes on Iran and called for de-escalation. Additionally, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the destruction of three U.S. F-35 fighter jets at a base in Jordan, while Iran reaffirmed its intention to respond firmly to any aggression from the United States or Israel. These events occur amid escalating military tensions in the region, with regional and international talks underway to prevent further escalation, while Iranian officials denied any plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, describing such claims as psychological warfare from the American side.
