OPEC Plus Countries to Raise Oil Output
Seven member countries of OPEC Plus, including Saudi Arabia and Russia, have decided to increase production by 188,000 barrels per day starting from September 2026, in order to offset the surplus accumulated since January 2024. This decision comes as part of a review of the oil market and its future outlook, aiming to enhance market stability and provide an opportunity to compensate for excess production, while monitoring compliance by the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee.
