Egypt ties Israel's security to Palestinian solution
Egypt has affirmed that Israel’s security is linked to a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue. It pointed out that a military solution exacerbates destruction and instability in the region. Egypt emphasized the need to reach a just settlement for the Palestinian cause in order to achieve stability and security for the countries in the area. It expressed hope that Israel will respond to the Egyptian understandings regarding the second phase of the ceasefire in Gaza, which includes weapons collection, Israeli withdrawal, the entry of aid, and reconstruction. Egypt also underscored the importance of political solutions and avoiding escalation of regional tensions, calling for intensified international efforts to contain the crises and find a resolution that ends the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
