Iran confirms Oman deal does not reopen Hormuz
It was clarified that the understanding between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman regarding a new maritime course does not mean reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and it was emphasized that the strait remains closed due to the United States' violation of its commitments and the naval blockade imposed on Iran. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson explained that reopening the strait is a completely different matter, and that this understanding is a necessary but insufficient condition. This comes after Trump announced the cancellation of a planned attack against Iran, indicating the United States' readiness to act, despite no reciprocal strikes having taken place so far.
