Israel raises concerns on Hamas disarmament
Israel has stated that it has informed the U.S. administration of its concerns regarding the Hamas disarmament agreement, indicating that Hamas remains determined to rebuild its military and has not truly relinquished its weapons. It was mentioned that the occupation won't withdraw from Gaza, which it controls over 60% of, until Hamas fully abandons its arms. Israel warned of the dangers of allowing Hamas to expand its presence in Gaza and to rebuild its terrorist infrastructure, as this could lead to new attacks similar to the October 7, 2023 assault that triggered the recent war.
