Saudi oil tankers pass Bab al-Mandab under Houthi blockade
The news reports the passage of two oil tankers loaded with Saudi oil through the Bab al-Mandab Strait, amid a blockade imposed by the Houthis, which affects maritime navigation in the region following reports of attacks on ships. This comes within the context of the Houthis escalating their naval blockade against Saudi Arabia and threatening the passage of vessels, leading to a decline in the number of ships passing through and impacting global oil supplies. Data indicates that the two tankers, one carrying approximately one million barrels and the other two million barrels, have left the area, as regional tensions are intensifying and affecting international oil shipping movements.
