Trump to resume talks with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new negotiation schedule with Iran, set to take place on Monday, without specifying the location, duration, or participants. This came after the U.S. military canceled plans for a major attack on Iran, which could have been the fiercest since World War II, following appeals from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iran. Trump indicated that reaching an agreement seems imminent, as U.S. and Iranian allies have expressed their desire to negotiate, following a framework agreement reached in mid-June to end the war that began in February.
