Seniors Take Up Parkour
Elderly people in Singapore practice parkour to improve their fitness and protect themselves from falls. This sport requires agility and helps increase strength and mobility. Since 2018, Coach Tan Shi Bon has been leading a group whose members are between 50 and 70 years old. The training sessions are divided into strength building and obstacle navigation. Despite the widespread popularity of videos showcasing the sport, safety remains a top priority. The coach takes precautions to ensure the trainees' protection, although complete safety cannot be guaranteed.
