China opposes US targeting of Chinese firms
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that China strongly opposes the United States' expansion of the concept of national security and its misuse of state power to target Chinese companies. Reports indicate that Washington is considering commercial measures, including banning imports of Chinese optical transmitters and receivers and imposing tariffs on polysilicon and related products. China emphasized that it will continue to safeguard the rights of its companies and protect against unilateral interventions that harm the commercial and economic interests between the two countries.
