Saudi and Iraqi Foreign Ministers Meet
Emphasis on the depth of the relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq, following the meeting between Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein. This was their first high-level meeting after the American and Saudi strikes on Iraqi Popular Mobilization sites linked to Iran, which resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people, including five Iranians. The two sides reaffirmed the importance of supporting Iraq's interests and preventing its territory from being used as a means of aggression. This comes amidst rising tensions after Saudi energy facilities were targeted by Iran-backed strikes in Iraq, with Iraq emphasizing that it will not allow its territory to be used for military operations.
