China launched two hyperspectral satellites on Wednesday using the "Smart Dragon-3" rocket from the coasts of Shandong Province, to enhance high-precision monitoring and comprehensive Earth and ocean surveillance worldwide. Each of the satellites, "Oriental Smart Eye 01" and "Oriental Smart Eye 02," is equipped with hyperspectral imaging devices with a spatial resolution of up to five meters. They provide global coverage every five days with extended interpretive capabilities, including high-performance artificial intelligence computing units capable of 400 trillion operations per second, supporting an integrated system that combines broad surveys with detailed analyses.
