A bombardment carried out by the Houthi group in Yemen resulted in the death of at least 30 soldiers and the injury of dozens at military camps in Marib and Hadramawt provinces. In Marib, the Al-Ruwaik and Thanaya camps were targeted with ballistic missiles, while in Hadramawt, the headquarters of the 23rd Mechanized Brigade in Al-Abr was struck, leading to significant human and material losses. These attacks are part of the Houthis’ escalation of their military operations, amidst warnings of an increasing death toll due to the severity of injuries. Tensions have been rising between government forces and the group since the ceasefire brokered by the UN ended in April 2022.
