Syrian Finance Minister Muhammad Yasser Berniya announced the suspension of 34 employees and their referral for investigation as part of an anti-corruption campaign. The measures targeted staff in the Finance Directorates and the Real Estate Bank. These actions follow previous decisions issued in May, which included suspending 94 employees and referring 25 to the Commission for Unexplained Wealth, in an effort to eliminate corruption and enhance integrity within Syrian financial institutions. The minister emphasized that the campaign will continue to ensure the integrity of operations and to reform the financial institutions.
