The Egyptian authorities have issued a decision to prohibit Australian Barbara O'Neill from appearing in the media and to cancel a training course scheduled at the Gouna Resort, due to her unsupported medical claims that could pose a threat to public health. This decision comes after appeals from the Medical Syndicate and the Ministry of Health, and is based on O'Neill not holding a medical license in Egypt, as well as a previous ruling in Australia that bans her from providing health consultations. Among the claims promoted by O'Neill were endorsements of unproven treatments for tumors, suggestions to replace breastfeeding with animal products, and downplaying the importance of antibiotics and vaccinations, which could lead to delays in seeking appropriate medical treatment.
