A report reveals that the Swiss army is unprepared for armed conflicts due to logistical gaps and its heavy reliance on imported weapons, exceeding 90%. The country faces threats from funding shortages and delivery delays of key equipment such as F-35 fighters and Patriot missile systems, which jeopardize its ability to defend itself in times of conflict. There are also significant shortcomings in coordinating logistical support between civilian and military agencies. Switzerland depends on a mandatory military service system and a militia framework, but it faces considerable challenges in modernizing its defense capabilities and streamlining supply chains. These issues raise concerns about national security in emergency situations.
