Australia expels Israeli ambassador over relief worker death
Australia summoned the Israeli ambassador to protest the Israeli military's decision not to open a criminal investigation into the killing of an Australian aid worker during a Gaza raid in 2024. The Israeli military stated that it saw no grounds to investigate the death of seven aid workers from the Global Central Kitchen organization, including Australian Zumi Frankam, which angered Australia and the concerned charity. The organization called for the formation of an independent commission to investigate, considering the military's investigation to be untrustworthy.
