Britain Calls for Stop to West Bank Settlement
Today's article focused on Britain's escalation against the Israeli settlement plan in the West Bank. Britain announced the recall of the Israeli chargé d'affaires and demanded that the Israeli authorities halt the construction of more than 1,200 settlement units within an Israeli project aimed at building approximately 3,400 units and partitioning the West Bank. This scheme isolates East Jerusalem and threatens the two-state solution. Britain considered this Israeli step unacceptable and destructive, reaffirming its intention to impose sanctions and comprehensive measures in the coming weeks to counter illegal settlement expansion, which hampers the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.
