China has added Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam to the 240-hour visa-free transit program, bringing the total number of beneficiary countries to 57. Citizens of these two countries holding ordinary passports and confirmed tickets for travel through third countries can enter China through 65 ports and stay for up to 10 days without a visa. They are also eligible to take advantage of the visa-free entry policy for Hainan Province, allowing a stay of up to 30 days, which raises the number of included countries to 61. China focuses on facilitating travel and promoting international exchanges, with clear guidelines that the policies do not permit employment, studying, or journalistic activities during the visa exemption period.
