The article discusses the logistical challenges faced by the American aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" in supplying its crew of over 5,000 personnel during long missions at sea. The crew consumes around 15,000 meals daily, equivalent to approximately 15 to 20 thousand pounds of food per day, requiring the ship to be supplied with hundreds of tons of provisions each month. The carrier relies on water treatment systems to convert seawater into freshwater and conducts continuous resupply operations via support vessels, using either underway replenishment or helicopters to ensure a constant flow of food and supplies without the need to return to shore. These complex logistical operations guarantee sustained readiness and operational capability aboard this giant ship.
