Shams al-Din Talebi Nears Saudi Union
The Saudi club Al-Ittihad is working on signing Moroccan player Shamseddine Talbi, who is 21 years old, from Sunderland. This move comes after the club failed to persuade midfielders Bilal Bakhit Al Khennous and Azeddine Onahi to transfer to the Saudi league. Talbi has been excluded from Sunderland's Europa League squad to facilitate the deal. He is considered one of the top players who showcased impressive levels during the 2026 World Cup with the Moroccan national team. Negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing for some time, and Al-Ittihad hopes to take advantage of the remaining transfer window to strengthen its squad and compete strongly against the major Saudi clubs.
