Three Tunisian national organizations—the General Labour Union, the National Lawyers’ Agency, and the Tunisian Human Rights League—announced the launch of a joint coordination framework aimed at working to save the country from the political, economic, and social crisis Tunisia is experiencing. This comes amid protests that have led to a decline in citizens' trust in state institutions, alongside increasing crises such as shortages of basic services, rising prices, and a deterioration of human rights and civil liberties. The organizations called for a comprehensive review of existing policies and the commencement of an all-encompassing societal dialogue to resolve these crises. They emphasized the need to protect the gains of the people, defend the rule of law, and uphold human rights and freedoms. This declaration follows their ongoing role in Tunisia’s democratic transition, aiming to unify efforts to safeguard Tunisia’s future and stability.
