A Syrian-Lebanese network that was uncovered by Lebanese security apparatuses has been targeted. It was found that its members received training and financial support from Hezbollah. They are suspected of planning to carry out security operations within Lebanon and Syria. Investigations confirmed that Hezbollah and a branch of an associated organization provided them with financial assistance and paid the rent for the detainees. Weapons and explosive materials were also discovered in their possession. It is believed that the group communicated via Nepalese phones and underwent military training in areas within Lebanon. There are also indications that their goal was to threaten Lebanese security. Ongoing investigations aim to determine the extent of their involvement in security activities outside of Syria.
