A survey conducted in Germany indicates that the majority of Germans (56%) see Russia as a threat to the country's security, particularly in light of drone incidents and the war in Ukraine. Opinions vary between the western regions, where the percentage is 59%, and the eastern regions, where it reaches 42%. This coincided with Berlin's acknowledgment that Moscow is responsible for a failed drone attack on Leipzig Airport. Russia responded by closing the Goethe Institute in Germany, following the closure of the Russian House in Berlin, with Germany criticizing these Russian measures and deeming them detrimental to cultural relations. Additionally, Germany announced the allocation of an extra 250 million euros to rebuild Ukraine's energy infrastructure to support energy supplies despite ongoing Russian attacks.
