China has reaffirmed its firm stance against Japan's increasing militarization, which is being promoted by some right-wing forces and aims to cause chaos in the region and beyond. A spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that Japan is seeking to acquire offensive capabilities and is significantly increasing its defense budget, with the planned 2027 budget reaching 8.89 trillion yen, in order to continue strengthening its military capabilities. China emphasized that the international arrangements established after World War II, including the abolition of Japan's military industries, remain necessary to ensure Japan does not revert to its militaristic tendencies. It called on Japan to honor its international commitments and work towards peaceful development. This comes in conjunction with the anniversary of China's victory over Japanese aggression, during which China emphasized the importance of upholding historical truth and reducing ongoing Japanese military threats.
