Canada faces floods and storms
Severe thunderstorms struck the Greater Toronto Area in Canada, resulting in power outages affecting around 65,000 people. The storms also caused flooding and property damage. Strong winds brought down trees and power lines, and floodwaters covered many areas, disrupting public transportation and causing significant delays at Pearson International Airport. Authorities warned of destructive winds and heavy rains, with the potential to form tornadoes, especially west of Toronto. It is expected that the damage will continue until further notice.
