The Syrian Ministry of Interior displayed genuine artifacts from prisons and security branches during the Damascus International Fair, aiming to document the suffering of detainees. The exhibits include clothing left behind by detainees, rusted handcuffs, prosthetic limbs, and prison cell doors inscribed with phrases and writings by the detainees, all intended to highlight the horrors they endured. The exhibition seeks to expose and document the human rights violations that occurred during that period for collective memory and the international community.
