US envoy warns on West Bank violence
The article includes a statement from the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, David Hockeppy, who warned of severe consequences resulting from the violence carried out by Israeli settlers in the West Bank, especially against Palestinians. He emphasized that crimes and terrorism must be punished, without explicitly criticizing Israel. He also pointed to an escalation in settler violence supported by the occupation forces and mentioned the displacement of more than 33,000 Palestinians from three camps in the West Bank in 2025, according to a United Nations report. This has raised concerns about potential crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing, though Israel denies these accusations. Regarding the Gaza Strip, the American ambassador confirmed that Israel has no plans to evacuate residents of the territory, despite previous Israeli statements indicating readiness to transfer Palestinians from Gaza after the suspension of the American transfer plan.
