Putin orders ceasefire in Kyiv
Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued instructions to halt attacks on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, for three days starting from midnight, in an effort to create a conducive environment for dialogue. This comes simultaneously with the arrival of American envoys Steve Weitzkopf and Jared Kushner in Moscow to hold talks on ending the war in Ukraine, where they are expected to present proposals from the U.S. side to Russia. U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that there is a good opportunity to resolve the conflict, with the possibility of new proposals being made to reopen negotiations.
